What is Myopia or short sightedness.
Myopia
Myopia is more commonly known as short sightedness. In a nutshell, objects which
are close are clear but objects in the distance are blurry. Myopia is caused when the
eye is longer than normal or the cornea may be too steep and the light rays focus in
front of the retina. It is important to come for regular eyesight checks as Myopia will
require spectacles or contact lenses to be worn, this is particularly important if you
are a driver as your vision may not meet driving standards if not corrected with a
regular vision prescription lens.
