Am I Hypermetropic more commonly known as long sightedness,
Hypermetropia
More commonly known as long sightedness, Hypermetropia occurs where the eye is
shorter than normal or the cornea too flat and light rays focus behind the retina. A
person with hypermetropic eyes may struggle to read a book which is close to them
without this being blurry but is able to focus clearer on an object further away from
them.
Many people do actually suffer a certain degree of hypermetropia but regular eye
tests will determine if this becomes worse. If you notice that the problem becomes
more of an issue, if you are suffering eye strain or headaches then you should
consult our optometrists as soon as possible.
